Meeting General Information
Al-Ain International Athletics Meeting 2010 will be held for the 4th time in Al-Ain, the Garden City of United Arab Emirates, after the huge success of this event in its three previous editions the Organizing Committee suggested to introduce Field throwing events in the competition for the first time to give the opportunity to the athletes of the region to have more competitions in the qualifying period for the World Championships in 2011. The Meeting has been scheduled between two other important events, the first is OZ day in Australia the 23rd & 24th of January 2010 and the other is in Dubai (2nd Fazaa Athletics Meeting) from the 8th to the 13th of February. The other Major Event this year is the IWAS 10k World Championship that will take place in Al Ain also on the Saturday 6th of February. The LOC invites you all to achieve your MQS for next World Championship in Al Ain Meeting and start preparing yourself for Christchurch 2011 one year earlier.

The Venue :Al Ain Club for the Disabled new Stadium for the Track & Field events and the city center of Al-Ain on wide and high standards roads for the 10K Road Race.

Competition timing : Wednesday 3rd of Feb. 10, Track & Field Evening Session. Thursday 4th of Feb. 10, Track & Field Morning & Evening Sessions. Saturday 6th of Feb. 10. IWAS 10K Road Race, Start at 10:00 am .

Doping Control: Athletes participating in Al Ain 4th International Athletics Meeting 2010 and IWAS 10K Road Race World Championship could be subject to drug testing , according to IAAF , IPC and WADA rules and regulations as mentioned in the declaration accompanying the entry form.

Officials : Highly Qualified officials form UAE Athletics Federation will be officiating in Al Ain 4th International Athletics Meeting 2010 and IWAS 10K Road Race World Championship, and who are used to deal with wheelchair races for a long time.

General Rules : The technical committee of the meeting is the only party concerned by applying the paragraphs of the meeting rules and is the only party allowed to explain any matter not mentioned in these rules .

Eligibility: Athletes with disabilities who are eligible for competitions under the rules and regulations of the IPC (International Paralympic Committee) , Athletes who are not registered in the SDMS for the year 2010 will not be accepted by IPC Athletics for ranking or record purposes.

-1st place athlete will be awarded a Gold medal & an amount of 750 UAE.DH
-2nd place athlete will be awarded a Silver medal & an amount of 500 UAE.DH.
-3rd place athlete will be awarded a Bronze medal & an amount of 250 UAE.DH.

-1st place athlete will be awarded a Gold medal & an amount of 2500 UAE.DH.
-2nd place athlete will be awarded a Silver medal & an amount of 2250 UAE.DH.
-3rd place athlete will be awarded a Bronze medal & an amount of 2000 UAE.DH.
-4th place athlete will be awarded an amount of 1750 UAE.DH.
-5th place athlete will be awarded an amount of 1500 UAE.DH.
-6th place athlete will be awarded an amount of 1250 UAE.DH.
-7th place athlete will be awarded an amount of 1000 UAE.DH.
-8th place athlete will be awarded an amount of 750 UAE.DH.
-9th place athlete will be awarded an amount of 500 UAE.DH.
-10th place athlete will be awarded an amount of 250 UAE.DH.
